I purchased these insoles for

"I purchased these insoles for my goalie skates because I play some pick-up games that last 75+ minutes with only one short break, and I had problems with my feet standing that long. I put these insoles into my goalie skates and there has been a huge improvement during those long games."

Perfect for quad skates too!

"I play roller derby - a competitive sport on quad skates. I needed some insoles because my skates are getting old and the original insoles were thinning. I originally tried some insoles from my local pharmacy (silicone ones) and, unfortunately, they didn't meet my needs: yes, the skates felt more comfortable BUT that came with huge compromises! My stability and responsiveness were reduced considerably. I tried skating for a few sessions, but gave up. These hockey cushions, however, they're built for purpose! They felt like second skin inside my skates providing sufficient support, especially for my arches, and at the same time, they're thin enough not to change how my skates feel. If anything, since the leather of my skates has stretched throughout the years, my skates feel snag again. . . Like new! Truly worth the investment, especially if you've got high arches!"

"We put these in a pair Daoust skates for my son. Without the insert the skate had a little to much heal bias. With the insert he is as comfortable or more than any skate he has used. The insert puts you into a more aggressive posture while maintaining a high level of comfort."

Great in inline skates too!

"The insoles that came with my Powerslide inline skates were pretty minimal. They expect you to swap them out. I noticed a huge improvement in comfort and control on the first use. I had tried one or two others but they were too thick. These are low-profile and give support in all the right areas- arch, heel, toes are free to move. No numbness or tingling in my feet on long >10 mile skates. Would buy again!"

A new insole immediately made

"A new insole immediately made my secondhand skates fit better and be more comfortable. Would recommend."

Q&A

I just used the comfort style in my skates for the first time and I had a lot of pain in my arches is this normal and they just need to break in or should I be looking into another option
I'm sorry to hear that your new insoles are causing you some arch pain. We totally understand how important it is to get the right pair of insoles under your feet, so your feet feel good. We also know how important it is to try products first to see if they work, which is why we off our generous 60-day guarantee (even if the insoles have been trimmed and worn). Our product does take some time to break in, so it's possible that the product you have may work for you if you are willing to give it another try at a slower pace. We recommend breaking in the insoles over the period of 1-2 weeks is helpful. For the first week you could wear your Superfeet for only 1-2 hours the first day, 2-3 hours the next, and so on until your feet are accustomed to proper support all day long. After this break-in period, ideally, your feet will feel good and you won't notice the insoles in your skate. Hi, 2 questions: 1. Should I size these insoles off of my normal shoe size, or the rollerblade size (9.5 normal vs 8 skate)? What size insole would you suggest for me? 2. I have high arches. I haven’t rollerbladed for many years because of foot pain, but I would like to give it another shot with insoles. Are these hockey insoles good for high arches, or would a high arch insole be better? Which insoles would you suggest for me?
Hi Frank, We recommend ordering based upon the shoe or skate that you are pairing the insole with. It is most important that your heel fits properly in the heel cup (without swimming in extra room, and without spilling over the edges), and that you feel the arch shape slightly more towards your heel, and not directly underneath the crest of your arch. I recommend starting with size "D (Men's skate 7-8) to see how that fits and feels for you. If you order directly from us on Superfeet.com and the insoles don't work out, we would be happy to help with a free return or an exchange, per our 60-day customer satisfaction guarantee. This includes insoles that have been worn and trimmed! You could also try going to a store that carries our product to test out a demo or two to see what insole feels the best for you and your footwear. The store locator tool is a great resource to see what’s close to you by typing in your zip code. https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/store-locator/ For a more personalized recommendation that takes your footwear and intended activities into consideration, feel free to reach back out using the link below and include that info. What size will Hockey Comfort insole will I need for a men’s 8.5 skate?
Hi Tom, I recommend trying Superfeet size E, which fits skate sizes 9-10. It is most important that your heel fits properly in the heel cup (without swimming in extra room, and without spilling over the edges), and that you feel the arch shape slightly more towards your heel, and not directly underneath the crest of your arch. If you are on the cusp of the next size, sizing up could move the arch into a more comfortable position. I would recommend going to a store near you that carries Superfeet to try the different sizes on in-person to see how the cap feels under your feet in the larger size. The store locator tool is a great resource to see what stores are close to you by typing in your zip code. https://www.superfeet.com/en-us/store-locator/
What size would I get if I want to put these in 8.5D men’s cowboy boots?
Hi Collin, I recommend ordering size "D", which fits US Men's 7.5-9. I’m happy to say that Superfeet has a 60-day satisfaction guarantee that covers trimmed and worn insoles, so if you decide to try these and they don’t end up working out, we are happy to help with a free return or exchange within 60 days.
What's the best size for a 6.5 skate?
For a size 6.5 skate, I recommend sizing up to the size "D" (Skate 7-8) and trimming it down.
